I realized Interior Design as a career when I was in High School. But even before that, I had modified my homes - stripping and painting my furniture in grade school, spending my allowance money on potted plants and decor. Back then, the color schemes was white-orange and yellows.... just goes to show, how trends tend to repeat....!
Then in middle school, when my family bought a 1900 historic Bungalow home in Santa Monica, rented a floor sander, pulled up carpet, selected a few stain colors, and created a multi-tonal stain on the wood plank floors. I added a glaze over the entire floor, 'setting' the greens, browns and red tones. I wish I took photos of that floor before my mom sold the house 10 years ago!
Today, designing and leading Interior & Architectural projects of all sizes and locations - I have expanded my knowledge and resource base, and deepened my passion for meaningful solutions.
Many of my projects have earned design awards, been published both in print and digital, my most valuable recognition, is my client's appreciation for their new environment.
